Types of Smart Boards
The 600i SMART Board is third-generation technology designed for both classrooms and businesses. 2- SMART Board 2000i
The 2000i is a rear-projected model. This unit is more mobile than the others. It comes on rollers and can be pushed from room to room. The screen can be raised and lowered, and the 2000i has an integrated sound system, The 2000i has the same touch-screen functionality as the other models and comes with several touch utensils. The 2000i product line has been discontinued
3- SMART Board 685ix
The 685ix has a projector mounted immediately above the board, which eliminates shadows and glare. The 685ix is a wide-screen board, with up to 20% more viewable space than the other models. The 685ix has the same touch technology as other SMART Boards. The 685ix is a wall-mounted board that must be securely fastened before use
4- SMART Board 600
The SMART board 600 series requires a ceiling-mounted projector. The board is on rollers and can easily be moved from room to room. Each 600 series SMART Board is capable of storing information and is SBD-ready. SBD is a function that allows two pens to write on the SMART Board at the same time. The 600 series has the Touch Recognition software built in and has the same touch capabilities as the other SMART boards
